TOP FAV 2000-2010
Con esa calidez navideña que nos penetra a todos como pinos por el culo me he dado el prestigiado gusto de escoger mis 10 favoritos (a veces más) de algunas de las artes que más disfruto. Serán seis categorías: Cine, Música, Videos, Videojuegos, Libros y Cómics/Novelas Gràficas.
Creo que muchas de mis opciones son muy obvias cuando las llegas a conocer. No porque demuestren perfección al primer glince que tenga de lo que me gusta, sino porque si te lo empiezas a cuestionar con conocimiento crítico, se empiezan a justificar una tras otra. “Bueno, ahora que lo menciona, es obvio que le gustaba este álbum desde hace varios años, si lo menciona en uno de sus libros”.
Es más, varios de mis discos y películas favoritas ya son cosas que han tomado posición en la cultura pop. Sólo escribiré comentarios en las elecciones que sean muy extrañas o de plano desconocidas, pero confío en su buen gusto.
Personalmente me gusta agradecer a mis influencias constantemente. Mi admiración por ciertos artistas alcanza el fanatismo o hasta la religión, y así me pierdo diciendo que Jay-Z es el nuevo Jesucristo o que Lars Von Trier es el nuevo anticristo y termino adorándolos a ambos por igual.

With that holiday warmth that penetrates all of us like pines up the ass [in season/ around the corner], I've taken up the prestigious mission of choosing my top 10 fav (sometimes even more) in some of the arts I most like. There'll be six categories: Film, Music, Video, Games, Books and Comics/Graphic Novels.
I think most of my options are rather obvious if you know them, not because they're “the perfect choice”, but because if you're familiar with some of my past written works, it would be easy to identify some of the albums and movies quoted here and there.
Moreover, considering that much of the movies and music I like is pretty much pop culture right now, I'm just gonna comment on those choices that are going to come as weird or out of context.
Personally, I like to be gracious with those who inspired me. My admiration for some artists reaches the level of fanaticism or even religious worship-- and that's how I end up saying Jay-Z is the new Jesus Christ or that Lars Von Trier is the new Antichrist, even though i adore them both, equally.
So if you're interested in more inspiration, cock-sucking, and a few other surprises, don't forgo the opportunity to check out this blog all throughout December.
